About Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta
To save and change the lives of children and teens, especially those who need us most, by providing a safe, positive, and engaging environment and programs that prepare and inspire them to achieve Great Futures.
Our Vision for 2020:
Through successful partnerships and collaborations, ensure that 90% of the youth being served three days or more per week are on track to graduate on time, live healthy lifestyles and give back to their community.
Why Great Futures Start Here:
For nearly 75 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA) has been in the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social and family circumstances. BGCMA enriches the lives of girls and boys that other youth agencies fail to reach. BGCMA is dedicated to ensuring that our community’s young people, who are most in need of our help, have greater access to quality programs and services that help them succeed academically, live healthy lifestyles and become leaders.
Since 1938, we have provided children with a positive place to go, results-oriented programming and a professional staff to guide them. BGCMA serves 3,400 young people daily through its Clubs, summer sites and outreach programs. We operate 27 Clubs in 10 metro counties in addition to Camp Kiwanis and Youth Art Connection, an art gallery and workspace for young people in downtown Atlanta.
Clubs are located in communities with the greatest need where similar services are limited or nonexistent. BGCMA asks families to pay annual membership dues of only $50 per child and no child is turned away due to inability to pay.
A private, nonprofit organization, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta improves young lives as well as the communities that surround and support us. The organization relies upon private, corporate, individual and United Way funding to fill the gap between membership dues and operational expenses.
