This was a very tough weekend for our city and for our nation. The murders of George Floyd and Ahmuad Arbery…and so many others…underscore the huge amount of work we have to do in our society.
It takes acknowledging the injustices we are seeing and organizations like ours working to fight against it. In the words of former President Barack Obama, “If we want our children to grow up in a nation that lives up to its highest ideals, we can and must be better.”
At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, we take that responsibility very seriously. #NowMoreThanEver, we understand our kids need us.
Our young people will need our support as they work to process their emotions, ask questions, be seen and heard, and find a path forward where they have a voice in creating change. If ever there ever was a time when we needed to step up, it’s now.
Thank you for your support. To get involved today, visit https://www.bgcma.org/get-involved/.
Help Us Continue to Serve our Mission
As Atlanta’s kids and families face challenges related to food insecurity, financial instability, academic backslide, and overall health, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta has stepped up to fill the gap.
We need your support – #NowMoreThanEver
Although our Clubs are temporarily closed, through your support, we are continuing to provide critical resources and services to help our kids and teens during these uncertain times. We still have a long road ahead to support the communities that need us most.
