When did you join your Club?

I started going to the Club when I was in 6th grade.

What types of activities are you involved with?

CareerBound program. It teaches me the importance of learning new skills that can prepare me for jobs, like job shadowing, resume-writing and other things that will help me succeed after high school. I’m also in the Keystone service and leadership program for teens like me.

Has your Club helped you overcome any challenges?

My Club staff helps me grow and broaden my horizons. Mr. David introduced me to other kids and Mr. Rodney encouraged me to get more involved in athletic programs.

Why is it important for teens to speak up?

With the help of technology nowadays, we can rally our community, share our voice, and make a change.

What type of volunteer projects have you done?

I mentor the second grade Club members and help them with homework. Outside of the Club, I sometimes volunteer at my brother’s daycare by reading to children.

What types of internships or career development experiences have you done?

I was a junior staff member at my Club for two years in a row.

What are your goals after graduating from high school?

I’m going to graduate from college and pursue my goal to become a dentist. As a child, I was voted “Best Patient of the Year.” That’s how much I love dentistry! I’m looking forward to shadowing my mentor, a dentist, who is working on opening up her own clinic.

What’s your career goal?

I want to open up my own dental practice.

If you could change anything in the world, what would it be?

Making environmental protection a world priority.
