Aliah Beasley is energetic. Those who know her well describe her as a social butterfly – active, bubbly, and personable. This is a hallmark of her personality, but the term that truly encompasses her spirit is focus. Befittingly, she is now representing the Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club as their 2017-2018 Youth of the Year.

Aside from her show of leadership as a 2017 Youth of the Year candidate, Aliah has proven herself as a leader among her peers. Not only did she become the president of her Club’s Keystone program, a teen service and leadership group, she also actively participates in various programs at her Club and at school. These include Money Mattes, Career Bound, track & field, and cheerleading – all while maintaining a 3.9 GPA.

Aliah became a member of her Boys & Girls Club at 6 years old, and like many of her peers, she came to view her Club as a second home.

She says, “The Club staff and other members are like family… I’m beyond grateful for the opportunities the Club has provided me.”

Aliah graduates in May of 2018 and plans to pursue a career in sports medicine.
