The William M. and Betty E. Small Boys & Girls Club works with hundreds of kids and teens each year to help them reach their full potential. We provide an environment where all youth feel safe and secure to dream, discover, and develop. Our programs focus on helping kids succeed in school, live healthy, and become leaders. We are so glad to be part of this community and look forward to working with you!

Director Q & A

Q & A with the Executive Director – LaSonya Hendrix

Why Boys & Girls Club

Boys & Girls Clubs allows me to help mold bright minds of the future while still being a big kid myself. I’m able to mentor and share resources that will equip our members with the skills to become great citizens.

Who Influenced Me

My mother is an educator. She always taught me education is of the utmost importance and the source of most all knowledge to be gained; with her advice, I formed my own opinions and perspectives around how I wanted to develop my future. I gained a lot of experience working with youth due to my mother’s career as a Director for Pre-K programs and her devotion to Sunday School teaching.

Advice for our Youth

Our Impact in the Community

The relationships we’ve built over the years have made a tremendous impact within the community. We’ve been able to maintain these relationships because we treat everyone involved with the Club like family.

What Makes Our Club Special

We strongly embrace cultural diversity here at Chamblee. We’ve factored in the cultural backgrounds and experiences of our members, tailored our programming, and fostered an atmosphere that we hope feels familiar  to our each of our kids. It helps our members feel like they have a home away from home at the Club.
