Director Q & A

Q & A with the Executive Director – Brendon Van Der Westhuizen

Why Boys & Girls Club

Growing up, I was always involved in sports and had a coach/mentor involved in my life. Because of that, Boys & Girls Clubs made perfect sense to me as it gives me the opportunity to play that role with the next generation.

Who Influenced Me

My parents.  No matter the circumstance, I could always count on them to support me.

Advice for our Youth

Be willing to learn from your mistakes; it’s how we all grow. You may not get it right the first time or every time but that’s okay. What can you take away from the experience so you can be better next time?

Our Impact in the Community

We offer kids such a wide variety of opportunities and experiences that they otherwise may not be able to participate in. You really won’t find another program quite like Boys & Girls Club.

What Makes Our Club Special

Our Staff! We have staff who genuinely care for the growth and development of the kids we serve.
