At-Promise Boys & Girls Club
Located within the At-Promise Youth & Community Center in historic English Avenue, the At-Promise Boys & Girls Club is part of an ongoing effort lead by the Atlanta Police Foundation and the Atlanta Police Department to empower youth and reduce the number of young people in the criminal justice system. At BGCMA, we provide an environment where all youth feel safe and secure to dream, discover, and develop. Our programs focus on helping kids succeed in school, live healthy, and become leaders. We are so glad to be part of this community and look forward to working with you!

Director Q & A
Q & A with the Executive Director – Gregory Bannister
I saw a program that provided a platform for me to share my life experiences and expose youth to new opportunities.
My family influenced me the most. My mother taught me to go after my dreams, be persistent, and that the worst thing someone can tell you is NO. My father taught me discipline, good work ethic, and to sit back think through what you want to achieve in life. My big brother went down the wrong path but his choices influenced me to not make the same decisions in life.
If you have a dream, chase it, jump, and take the leap of faith. If you don’t know where to start, ask someone for help and guidance in reaching your goal. There are 24 hours in a day; use them wisely.
The Club is doing a great job of introducing opportunities and resources that many may never knew existed. Not only does this benefit the kids that attend the Club, but also their parents.
The At-Promise Boys & Girls Club is a very special place. This is a place where all members have a voice. Not only in what goes on in the Club, but also in what can impact their community. This Club gives members the opportunity to be leaders, gain job and life skills, and a safe place to have fun.
