Mega-stars Beyoncé and JAY-Z have awarded our very own Karissa Jackson of the Lawrenceville Club with a $100K scholarship for college and higher education. The announcement was made at the power couple’s Orlando concert held on Wednesday, August 29.

The BeyGOOD Initiative and Shawn Carter Foundation teamed up to establish the scholarship program for exceptional high school seniors who demonstrate a record of academic excellence. More than $1 million in $100K scholarships will be given to one recipient in the couple’s On The Run II Tour (OTRII) markets.

Karissa is extremely grateful for the award and thanks Boys & Girls Clubs of America for recommending her for such a prestigious honor from the Carters.

When Karissa graduates in 2019, she plans to attend Kennesaw University and pursue a degree in social work. In addition to demonstrating excellence in her studies, Karissa also displays a spirit of leadership excellence in her community and Club.
