Jasmine’s Eyes Open Wide with Opportunities

Jasmine

Jasmine was in third grade when she became a member of her Boys & Girls Club. For the five years she has been a member, her Club has always known her to be a nice and very proper young lady.

After spending time at the Club, meeting new friends and finding her place there, she began to explore all the various opportunities offered for her at the Club. The Club, the staff and the experience opened her eyes.

She started becoming much more outgoing and joined several Club activities, including Young Adult Talk, Cheerleading and Leadership group, and the Torch Club.

According to the Club’s executive director, “Jasmine’s attitude has improved tremendously over the years, and so has her self-esteem. She focuses now more than ever on her school work and participates in more school activities.”

Jasmine’s mom is very supportive of her involvement with the Club because of the positive changes she has seen in her. And, it all started with a little opportunity.
