Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta Launches Search for New President
Long-time President Jerry Tipton announces retirement as leader of one of Atlanta’s premier development organizations for disadvantaged youthJuly 30, 2008

ATLANTA – Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA), a private, nonprofit organization providing youth development services for young people from disadvantaged circumstances for over 70 years, announced today the launch of a nation-wide search for a new President. The current President, Jerry Tipton (pictured to the right), has served as President of BGCMA for 15 years, leading the organization successfully through unprecedented growth.
"We are very thankful for the dedication and leadership that Jerry Tipton has brought to the Boys & Girls Clubs organization during his 43 years of service," said Scott Greene, chair of the board of directors of BGCMA.
"We are seeking a leader who exhibits strong passion and dedication to serving disadvantaged youth. Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta has been built on a foundation of success, and we are excited to engage a leader who will take us to new heights as an organization and further impact our youth," Greene continued.
Right-Way Services and Resource Mosaic has been retained by the Board of Directors to apply its unique 3-step methodology – review, search, transition assistance - to find an individual who will successfully lead one of America’s most prominent organizations.
