Local students earn laptop computers for completing web-based Math tutoring program

WHAT: Several members of the Joseph B. Whitehead Boys & Girls Club will be presented a laptop computer for their completion of the web-based Math tutoring program AchieveSES.com.

The program was designed to help students prepare for the CRCT and qualifies as a Supplemental Education Services (SES) program under the federal No Child Left Behind Act.  HighPoints Learning, Inc., a state approved SES provider, partnered with Whitehead Boys & Girls Club for the program and will furnish the laptops.  Students were required to complete 60 hours of online Math tutoring.
