Warren/Holyfield Boys & Girls Club will Bloom this Saturday

WHAT: The entrance grounds of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta’s Warren/Holyfield Boys & Girls Club will soon be transformed from a desolate plot of lifeless dirt to a lush and welcoming green space, thanks to the generosity of local volunteers, coordinated by Miss Georgia USA and Smoothie King. Landscaping will include new sod, shrubs and greenery, as well as the addition of colorful kid-friendly flowering plants, bringing new life to the children’s club.

The club serves an average of 210 local children each day, providing a safe place for after school activities and access to quality developmental programs.

WHEN:   Saturday, Feb. 23, from 9 a.m. to Noon (Rain date will be: Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 10 a.m.)

ADDITIONAL INFO: Smoothie King awarded Amanda Kozak $2,500 to donate to her favorite charity upon collecting the most canned goods at the chain’s 500th location opening in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood. 

Miss Kozak will represent Georgia in the 2008 Miss USA pageant in April, with the platform of "Positive Role Models Through Mentoring."
