Helping in More Ways than One
Though their headquarters is in DeMoines, Iowa, the Atlanta Regional Offices of Wells Fargo Financial have supported the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta for the past two years. This sponsorship has been financial - for programs that encourage higher education - and also through volunteer efforts to get Wells employees face-to-face with hundreds of kids enrolled in nearby Boys & Girls Clubs.
They held the first check presentation from the McSpadden team to our Brookhaven Club, and the Volunteer of the Year award was presented to the Wells group in December ’07. Forty volunteers from Wells Fargo Financial, under Brandon Greve’s leadership, refereed BGCMA’s Turkey Day sports competition held the day before Thanksgiving. All survived with minimum hamstring pulls and disputed calls! In addition, Wells Fargo Financial volunteers continue to participate in homework assistance programs and other Club activities when time allows.
Here’s a little of what the Wells group had to say:
“In addition to money, District Managers Scott Madrid and Kelly Dittman are facilitating all of their team members to get involved in various locations” – Amy McSpadden
“It really opened my eyes to how a little piece of my time really made a difference in their lives” – Winfred Boyce-Credit Mgr #346-Atlanta.
Thank you Wells Fargo Financial.
Donors help keep the Promise!
