Since 2004, AMERIGROUP Community Care has helped BGCMA provide a safe place for kids.

AMERIGROUP believes in supporting the community through Boys & Girls Clubs because kids are provided a safe place, where they have the ability to complete homework assignments in established learning centers, learns computer skills in computer labs and gain exposure to the arts through successful programs.

“We stay involved because we are helping keep thousands of kids off the street during a crucial time after school,” says Tita Stewart, Associate VP of Sales & Marketing for AMERIGROUP Community Care.

In fact, AMERIGROUP offers its own members the opportunity to attend a Boys & Girls Club for free. They support various programs throughout all Club locations. They are keenly focused on subsidizing membership fees, and have helped more than 2,000 kids who could not afford to pay gain membership to a Boys & Girls Club.

“We have visited several Clubs, and each one leaves a different impression,” said Tita. “We are impressed with the level of sincerity from the staff, as well as their commitment to these children.”

“The kids especially leave a lasting impression. They are eager to learn, ready to play and full of smiles – they are simply phenomenal. Everyone should visit a Boys & Girls Club, so they can see that it is truly a place where promise lives.”
