Brief History
In 2000, there was a growing need for development in the community. Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, along with local community leaders, gathered to serve the youth by commencing a youth development program at Norcross Elementary School. The number of youth grew extensively. In 2001, a facility designed for serving youth opened and is known today as the A. Worley Brown Boys & Girls Club. The Club exists due to the generous donations of men, such as Mr. A. Worley Brown, former executive at Rock-Tenn Company, who contributed a large amount of funding to construct the facility. Mr. Brown’s generosity continues through faithful supporters at the Rock-Tenn Company for this club; and today, A. Worley Brown Boys & Girls Club continues to serve the youth of Gwinnett County with quality developmental programs which empower our youth.Staff
