Brief History
In 1970, a board of directors met to discuss building a Boys Club in the Brookhaven area. In 1971, the Brookhaven Club opened its doors. In 1991, after the merger between the Boys Club and the Girls Club, we became the Brookhaven Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. In 1999, Brookhaven Boys & Girls Club was selected as the Learning Club by Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and received an entire renovation to our facility that helps in providing essential ‘generation-changing programs’ to the young people we serve.Staff

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer Notice: Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, a place where PROMISE lives.
Due to the high volume of applicants currently on our waiting list for placement, we have no additional volunteer positions available at this time.
We encourage you to revisit this website on September 1, 2009 for an update onvolunteer opportunities. Thank you for your interest in supporting our mission of serving disadvantaged youth in our community.
If you are a young professional, we encourage you to get involved in Club Blue, which is always accepting new members. Club Blue is Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta's young professional group and is volunteer based. We volunteer our time and expertise to give back to the Clubs through a variety of service activities. We engage in fun networking socials and special events that ultimately benefit local children who are most in need of our help. Essentially, we party with a purpose to help change lives. Learn more about Club Blue and how to become involved.
If you have any questions, please contact Robin Reid, our Volunteer Manager at rreid@bgcma.org or 404.527.7594.
