Every 26 seconds, another child gives up on school. At Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, we know education is the tool for success in today’s world. While many of our teens face adversities in different areas of their lives, the one thing that can’t be taken away from them is education.

College Bound is an educational leadership program developed and provided by BGCMA. The program is designed to support high school students through the college preparation and application process.

Through this program, BGCMA prepares teens for life beyond high school and instills confidence, knowledge and principals of a good education in each student. By providing support, academic advisement and collaboration with schools, BGCMA helps narrow the achievement gap for our teens.

Boys & Girls Clubs teens graduate from high school at a rate of 87%, compared to the national average of 66%. And, 83% of College Bound students go on to pursue a college degree after high school graduation.

Boys & Girls Clubs teens who succeed academically also:

• Become the next skilled workforce with higher buying power.

• Grow into responsible adults breaking cycles of poverty and neglect.

• Avoid drugs and crime lowering the price tag for prisons and the judicial system.

• Stay active which leads to increased health status and a healthier community.
