Success Story

Christine Thinks Positively Now

Christine

Christine is eager to connect with her staff members at the Newnan/Coweta Club and take part in organizing Club events and programs. She is involved in the Club’s Kiwanis Kids Cultural Challenge (KKCC), Keystone Leadership Club, College Bound and Hispanic Scholarship Fund.

She had a short temper and battled some issues concerning her schoolwork. But since coming to the Club, she improved and strived to make changes in both areas.

She loves arts, soccer and the Keystone Club at her Club.

“I love the arts because it’s a way I can express my moods, emotions and my perspective on life. I also want to be an artist. Keystone is great because it teaches me how to be a better leader so later in life I can show my leaderships skills.”

Christine is looking forward to applying for college scholarships and is determined to go to college so she can help her parents achieve their dreams. “Before coming to the Club, I never cared about school,” Christine said. "The Club has made me realize how important education is for my future.”

She continues, “the Club has taught me many things such as how to raise my self esteem, my education and it’s changed my attitude. I was a different person before - a person who didn’t care about anything, but now I realize how important education, family and everything else is for me.”
