11Alive Telethon Benefited BGCMA

Nearly $20,000 Raised

Thanks to 11Alive for hosting the telethon to benefit BGCMA on Friday, August 20 from 6-8 p.m. in reponse to recently stolen AC units. BGCMA has raised nearly $20,000 from telethon and responses to AC theft stories. Thank you to everyone in the community for your support!


Background information:

In recent months, three Clubs have been the victims of thieves who vandalized and stole 16 central air units. 11Alive teamed up with BGCMA to help offset the costs and raise awareness and money for the organization. Thank you to the American Red Cross for lending the space to hold the telethon.
