Teens Go to Virginia for Keystone Conference
BGCMA teens enhance their leadership skillsOctober 26, 2009

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta teenagers took part in Boys & Girls Clubs of America's Southeast Regional Conference October 15-17 in Richmond, Virginia.
Each Boys & Girls Club has a program called the Keystone Club, which promotes the cultivation of good character and effective leadership. The Keystone Club supports the development of productive, responsible and caring citizens and fosters successful high school graduation, broader employment, and lifelong civic engagement for Boys & Girls Club members between the ages of 14-18.
The goal is to promote character and leadership among Club teens to provide impact in three focus areas: academic success, career preparation and community service.
The Keystone Conference is an opportunity for Keystoners to enhance their leadership skills and personal development. The conference brought together 300 Keystoners and their advisors from Boys & Girls Clubs across the southeast region to discuss critical issues of young people.
BGCMA had 55 Keystoners and advisors to participate in the conference. They were also able to participate in 3 on 3 basketball and volleyball tournaments, fashion show, talent show and most importantly, a community service project and a college tour.
The Keystone Conference was hosted by Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Richmond and is sponsored by Taco Bell foundation for teens.
