Hill Street Club Merges with Warren Holyfield

Youth Still Receiving Same Quality Services

January 6, 2012

Message from President & CEO Missy Dugan:

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta merged the Hill Street facility with the Warren Holyfield facility in January 2012. Memberships transferred from Hill Street to Warren, and all of the youth who were attending the Hill Street Club are now attending the Warren Club in Grant Park.

It was BGCMA’s priority through this decision that services and care to the youth of Hill Street were kept. The Warren Club was recently expanded with a state of the art teen center built to accomodate the new members and will enhance the after school experience for all of our youth.

Both of the Clubs were serving the same communities and school systems and were located 1.5 apart. Because we owned the property at Warren but not Hill Street and due to economic circumstances, ther merge allows us to serve our kids more efficiently.

The most important thing through the merge was to keep the same quality services to the kids. Though we are not in the facility on Hill Street, we did not stop our services to the kids, and that was our priority.

BGCMA serves more than 3,800 youth on a daily basis through 25 Clubs in 10 counties.
