Fine Arts Program Exhibition and Award Presentation

Date: January 14, 2010

Time: 5 -7 p.m.

Location: Youth Art Connection (YAC)

The National Fine Arts program is run through Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta members’ artworks are presented to a panel of judges, who are GSU graduate arts education teachers. The judges review artwork from children of all ages and in various mediums, including pastel, collage, mixed media, monochromatic and multicolored drawing, acrylic, oil, sculpture and more. Awards are given to pieces in each age category and a trophy is awarded to the BGCMA Art Instructor in the Club with the strongest arts program for the year.

The event includes a reception, award presentation and entertainment provided by a dance group from one of the Clubs (selected from performances at the Kiwanis Kids Cultural Challenge). For more information on our Arts Programs, contact Rebecca DesMarais at rdesmarais@bgcma.org
