The George Washington Carver Boys & Girls Club is the oldest of the Boys & Girls Club in Metro Atlanta. It started as a Boys Club in 1945 and became a Boys & Girls Club in 1947, which was the same year the opening and dedicational ceremonies took place. It has been serving the youth of Kirkwood for over 63 years.
