National Boys & Girls Clubs Week

Date: March 21, 2010 – March 27, 2010

Time: All Week

Help us celebrate National Boys & Girls Club Week! It is the perfect time to discover your local Boys & Girls Club and its role in the community. There are many opportunities to learn how you can make a difference in the life of a child.

BGCMA kids and Clubs will be celebrating this week with activities and community outreach and involvement. We invite you to join and support us during National Boys & Girls Club Week.

  • Read what one child says about the role of the Club in her life
  • Join President William Lampley for Executive Series Club Tours on March 23 in Cobb County or on March 25 in DeKalb County.
  • March 23-25, each Club will be hosting a Day in the Club and invite local community leaders to take a tour and meet the kids in their local Boys & Girls Club! Visit your local Club and learn how we are helping young people BE GREAT!
  • March 26-27, teenage girls will participate in BGCMA's Annual Girl Power Summit, focusing on positive and healthy life choices for young women
  • Kids from each Club will be giving back in their own way too! They are holding their own drives to raise money or donated items to give back to another organization in their community. They believe in the power of giving back and in the importance of community. Contact your local Club to find out more!
  • Club Blue, BGCMA's young professionals group, is hosting a mixer on March 23 at Quattro - check it out!
  • Rita's Ice at Underground Atlanta is giving away free Italian Ice on Friday, March 26. Donations will be accepted and benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. Come out after work from 4 - 6 PM and help BGCMA. http://www.ritasice.com/
