Making a Difference

We encourage Club Blue members to give back to the community through group or individual volunteering, advocacy and fundraising. Whether you are looking for a one-time event or a year-long program, you can customize opportunities to fit your schedule.

The strength of Club Blue is in our member's commitment to the mission and cause of BGCMA. How can you deepen your impact?

  • Bring a friend to a Club Blue mixer, encourage them to join
  • Create a personal fundraising page or host a house party and ask your friends for their financial support
  • Get involved and become a volunteer
  • Become a Fan of Club Blue on Facebook

As young professionals we have the energy and ability to make a difference in thousands of children's lives. Get started today!

Committees

SOCIAL A group of exceptional individuals working together to brainstorm ideas for future events, implement and execute tasks for upcoming events and generally plan activities that are unique and appealing to Club Blue members and friends. Event planning skills are ideal.

SERVICE Work to further members' access to and involvement in activities that serve and support BGCMA. Activities include planning volunteer events for Club Blue members like Coach for a Cause and coordinating volunteers for BGCMA events.

MEMBERSHIP A group of members eager to greet and welcome people at mixers, organize and plan membership drives, schedule 'Lunch & Learns' and spread the word about Club Blue to the metro Atlanta community. This group is key to the growth of Club Blue.

MARKETING A group of creative go-getters that help Club Blue manage the brand and spread the word by writing press releases, designing marketing materials, writing articles for the Club Blue e-news and much more throughout the year.

Personal Fundraising Pages

Members of Club Blue that champion the mission of BGCMA can support the organization and the children it serves with a customized page that includes pictures, a personal message and a fundraising goal. Every little bit counts! It's a simple yet significant way for members to apply their social values to their professional lives. Can our kids count on you? Learn More

Individual Opportunities

Every Boys & Girls Club has different needs for volunteers. Opportunities range from helping in the arts room, mentoring children or playing in the games room. To become a club volunteer, you must submit a background check application [link] to BGCMA. Once your application is processed and approved, someone from BGCMA will contact you to match you with a Club or project of your choice.

As you become involved with BGCMA and Club Blue, know that we appreciate your sharing quality time and personal experiences with the children. They will grow and learn from you just by spending time together.

Group Opportunities

Club Blue organizes and plans several group opportunities throughout the year and fills requests for volunteers for Boys & Girls Clubs events like Passport to Manhood or Youth of the Year. As special event requests are made, Club Blue will issue a call to action in the monthly e-news.
