Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club
Meet Ty. Before joining his Club, Ty was often getting into trouble and had a bad attitude about life. His mother was not happy with the path he was headed down and quickly enrolled him into the Boys & Girls Clubs. For Ty, his Club became a home away from home. He found friends, support and encouragement there. Since joining over six years ago, Ty has been a dedicated member. Because of his Club, he had the opportunity to play baseball in St. Louis during the World Series through the Jr. Braves baseball league. Currently, this 3.9 GPA high school sophomore is involved in the College Bound program, serves as a teen mentor for his peers and has been named Youth of the Year for his Club. Ty is on a path toward his Great Future!

In 1996, the Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club opened it doors, providing and offering after-school programs to draw young people in the community into positive environment. In 2002, our Club moved into its new facility. Newnan/Coweta Boys & Girls Club is part of a nationwide affiliation of the local, autonomous organizations working with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to help youth from all backgrounds develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders.
