Brief History
Franklin Road Boys & Girls Club was originally initiated as an extension site by Mr. Henry Saxon, Mr. Roderick Smith, and Ms. Sharon Mapp as part of the Latino Outreach Initiative launched by Boys & Girls Club of America. The community had a growing need to develop English classes along with an after school program on Franklin Road, which was recognized by BGCMA, the community and businesses alike. GFI Management donated the space currently used for the Franklin Road Extension Site at the Las Colinas Apartments. In addition, the Franklin Road Club receives support from the Weed & Seed Initiative, which helps strengthen the community through adult and youth programming task forces to deter crime, drugs, and gang violence.

We are currently seeking volunteers for our summer camp session which runs June 7th – July 31st.
Click here to see a listing of current volunteer opportunities. In order to become a volunteer you must:

You will be notified once your background check is cleared and will then be scheduled for a club orientation before officially becoming a volunteer.
* We understand that some high schools require students to complete a minimum number of community service hours for graduation. We do offer some limited volunteer opportunities for students who are interested in performing their service with Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta. For more information on these opportunities send a request to rreid@bgcma.org.
