Douglas County Boys & Girls Club
To meet this need and actively engage more teenagers in the community, Douglas County Boys & Girls Club and community leaders recognized the need for a new teen center. Where GREAT FUTURES START, the 6,000 square feet teen center will allow professional and trained staff to continue to work with the teen programming which focuses on six core areas: education and career development, character and leadership development, health and life skills, arts and cultural enrichment, sports, fitness and recreation and outdoor education.

Brief History
Douglas County Boys & Girls Club was founded in 1982 and moved into its current facility in 1998. An outstanding Board of Directors and community partners, including Abercrombie Family and WellStar Health Systems, enabled the new facility to be built and fulfill the mission of Boys & Girls Club by inspiring and enabling young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
