Center for a New Generation at Connally Elementary Boys & Girls Club

On July 7, CNG at Connally Elementary Boys & Girls Club drum line had yet another great performance for parents, staff and family. The drum line is just one of the many enrichment and arts activities that students can participate in each day after school and during the summer. Each semester the drum line students have a wonderful time learning the discipline and skill that goes along with nurturing their interest in playing musical instruments. Since the inception of CNG at BGCMA last year, Mr. Howard has been directing the drum line.

Brief History

For more than 75 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA) has delivered on our promise to provide at-risk metro area youth with the support they need to reach their full potential. We have positively influenced more than 100,000 young lives, preparing kids and teens for great futures. Starting with just one Club on Washington Street in 1938, our organization has grown to 20+ locations in and around Atlanta, serving thousands of kids each day.

Over the years, we have opened many doors for our youth and expanded our focus as well. We now serve both young men and women and have shifted our mission from keeping kids safe to a more ambitious and impactful goal: helping kids and teens on their path toward great futures.  Through innovative programs and with the support of skilled and caring staff, our kids are living healthy, achieving academically and giving back.
