Condoleezza Rice approached Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta in 2010 hoping to partner up with Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide. She was inspired to create opportunities for underserved youth by way of expanding their learning experience outside of the classroom. We’re proud that after nearly a decade, The Center for a New Generation at the Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy Boys & Girls Club is thriving as youth here explore a diversity of subjects from language arts, math, science, visual arts, music, and computers/technology just as Condoleezza envisioned. We work with hundreds of kids and teens each year to help them reach their full potential and provide an environment where all youth feel safe and secure to dream, discover, and develop. Alongside the CNG model for success, our programs focus on helping kids succeed in school, live healthy, and become leaders. We are so glad to be part of this community and look forward to working with you!

Why Boys & Girls Club

I fell in love with the Boys & Girls Club movement as a volunteer in college. In many of the kids, I felt a strong desire for positive role models to help guide their social, character, and emotional development. I knew I wanted to part of this.

Who Influenced Me

Definitely my mother and grandparents….all of who are former educators. They have instilled in me the importance of a strong education and strong values.

Advice for our Youth

Be yourself. Though we all want nice things, life is about more than that. It’s about developing your own personal values and beliefs. In the long run, people will remember much more about how you treated them than if you kept up with the latest fashion trends. Practice integrity at all times regardless of who may or may not be watching.

Our Impact in the Community

The Club is a microcosm of life. Members experience conflicts and disagreements with each other. They have to make decisions based on priorities. They are met with challenges and exposed to new opportunities. They learn teamwork and how to develop positive relationships with their peers, as well as caring adults. It’s our goal members will take these experiences and use them to guide their development into outstanding, productive, and moral citizens.

What Makes Our Club Special

Our Club helps kids build confidence and find their unique passions. Whether it’s through sports, arts, games, or just being in a safe comfortable environment and interacting with their peers, kids find out who they are and where they fit in.
