Dear Parents & Guardians –
I’m writing to let you know that the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta will be closing its programming at the Centers of Hope at Adamsville Boys & Girls Club. Our last day within the Center will be Friday, July 21, 2017.
We’ve really enjoyed getting to know your kids and the community and will miss the relationships we’ve built here at Adamsville. We’ve had and continue to have a strong partnership with the City of Atlanta and will continue to serve kids at our nearby location – Thomasville Center of Hope.
As we make this transition, I’m happy to report you should see no gap in care for your children. The City of Atlanta will still offer enrichment and after school activities to your kids at this location. For specifics regarding this programming, visit www.atlantaga.gov and go to the “Centers of Hope Afterschool Programs” page.
We are proud of the staff that has served here at Adamsville and we are working to make their transition as smooth as possible. We’ve identified areas of needs at several of our Boys & Girls Club locations across the city and hope to relocate them within the organization.
If you are still interested in enrolling at a Boys & Girls Club, we have several locations that are a short drive away: Centers of Hope at Thomasville Boys & Girls Club, Joseph B. Whitehead Boys & Girls Club, and Warren Boys & Girls Club. You can visit www.bgcma.org/parent_resources to check out membership options at these Clubs.
If you have any additional questions about this transition, please feel free to reach out to me at 404-337-3460 or NMcClain@bgcma.org.
We appreciate you entrusting us with your kids and have enjoyed getting to know your families over the last couple of years. We wish you the best and hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!
